Teo’s legacy

🌈 Who is behind TEO?

Hi, I’m Marga. I’m a teacher and the mum of Matilda and Teo.
I’m lucky enough to hold Matilda in my arms every day. I can’t do the same with Teo. His time in this world was far too short and this project is a way to keep on saying his name. How I keep feeling him close.

This project  started as Dream Big in English. But then it grew into something much bigger: Teaching Each Other. A space where learning flows both ways, and where children teach too. From this name comes TEO — an acronym full of meaning and a very special tribute to my little warrior.

🎓Why you can trust us

We’re an Anglo-Spanish family raising our daughter bilingually since she was born. I hold a degree in English Philology and I got my PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages – Spanish & German – in England, where I lived for 10 years.

I’ve been teaching languages for over 15 years to teenagers, children, and adults — first in several secondary schools while we lived in England, and now online since moving back to Spain. I work with students from all over the world — especially from Japan and the UK — each with different needs but sharing the same goal: learning a language in a natural, enjoyable, and meaningful way.

All this experience — both in the classroom and at home, raising our daughter bilingually — has shown me clearly what works and what doesn’t. That’s why everything you’ll find here is designed to connect, motivate, and help you live the language… not just study it.

Everything I share here has been tested, lived and created with love and care.

🎨 What’s behind all the colour

All the materials you’ll find here are an explosion of colours as beautiful as Teo.

But behind all that colour, there’s also a deep, dark well — the one we fell into when we had to learn to live without him. Because when a child dies, the hardest part isn’t just the absence. It’s the silence. It’s not knowing what to say. It’s when nothing gets said.

This space is also for that. To make sure his name isn’t erased. To help us all learn how to sit with pain, instead of pushing it away.

🧠 Teaching emotions is just as urgent

Since Matilda was little, we’ve done a lot of work on emotions at home. When we lost Teo, she was able to talk openly about how she felt and managed her grief in a healthy way. That changed everything.

That’s why I believe teaching emotional intelligence is just as important as teaching English or Spanish. If our little ones learn to express what they feel, they’ll grow into more empathetic adults. More human. Stronger in the truest sense.

💖 How your purchase helps

10% of every TEO generates goes to organisations that support families of babies with congenital heart disease.

These two charities have been a huge support for us:

🌟 Teo’s legacy

My world turned dark without Teo. But there’s still room for colour. For all that is sweet and innocent just like him. Every kind gesture you do on this site, you also do in his name. And for that, I thank you.
